SVP commented on the possible destruction of paleontological resources on U.S. Bureau of Land Management’s (BLM) “Community Pit #1” near Las Cruces, New Mexico, through its remediation efforts to make the site safe.  Specifically, SVP requested BLM to provide a status update on the project and how BLM is protecting the scientifically important fossils while making the area safe for the public.
