The Excellence in Education and Outreach Award is an annual award that celebrates achievement in formal or informal education or outreach, based on either a poster or podium presentation at the SVP Annual Meeting.
ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS
All talk and poster abstract presentations featured in the Paleontological Practices - Education & Outreach Session are automatically entered into the competition for this award. A subcommittee of the SVP Education and Outreach Committee will determine the winner based upon this rubric. The winner will be recognized during the Awards Banquet at the SVP Annual Meeting.
HOW TO APPLY
Abstracts may be submitted during the annual SVP abstract submission period via the online abstract submission platform (select the Paleontological Practices - Education & Outreach presentation category).
The 2025 abstract submission platform is scheduled to open on April 17.
