The Society of Vertebrate Paleontology

The Society of Vertebrate Paleontology is a diverse organization of scientists, students, artists, preparators, advocates, writers and scholars across the globe, who are dedicated to the study, discovery, interpretation and preservation of vertebrate fossils.

We are a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, founded in 1940 for educational and scientific purposes. We provide a global forum for vertebrate paleontologists through our publications and annual meetings.

Whether you’re already a member, or just passionate about prehistory, we hope to see you at SVP 2015 in Dallas, Texas.
