Meet the SVP Management Team!
Serena Weisman joined FASEB in mid-2015 as an Executive Director and/or Business Manager for multiple societies. Her formal education is in organizational management and her professional experience is comprised of association management in a variety of industries utilizing skills ranging from process development and financial management to strategic planning and relationship building, with an overarching goal of creating the most efficient and effective organization possible. Serena is pleased to be the Executive Director for SVP and looks forward to providing quality and timely service to the SVP community.
Roya Jaseb, CMP
Roya Jaseb has been employed at the FASEB Office of Scientific Meetings and Conferences since 2008. Roya has a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration and over 15 years of experience working for non-profits in a variety of capacities which includes meeting management experience for 12+ years. Prior to FASEB Roya worked at the International Society for the Study of Xenobiotics, Association for Women in Mathematics, and the American Institute of Ultrasound in Medicine. Roya has been a member of the Professional Convention Management Association (PCMA) for 10+ years and most recently a member of the PCMA International Task Force which focuses on developing educational programs for meeting planners involved in global meetings.
Jon Korman joined FASEB in 2013 after working in business-to-business publishing, where he gained extensive experience managing client services and subscription fulfillment for publications covering a variety of industries. In his role as SVP Membership Coordinator, Jon serves as the point of contact for all membership and subscription-related inquiries and acts as liaison between SVP members and other departments, such as meetings, accounting, and the executive office. Jon’s goal is to provide the highest possible level of service to our members.

Many other professionals are working to ensure quality and timely service to all SVP members and the community. A team of accountants, information technology specialists, publication, meeting professionals and membership coordinators are ready to meet the needs of SVP. FASEB provides a variety of logistic and management services. Through these various disciplines, FASEB capitalizes on synergies and helps SVP to work more efficiently as an organization. FASEB has been supporting scientific societies and biomedical research for nearly a century!
