SVP Partners with MCI USA, Global Association Management Solution

January 22, 2020
Partnership Accelerates Ability to Serve Association Members and the Vertebrate Paleontology Community Through Innovative, Growth-Centered Solutions

The Society of Vertebrate Paleontology (SVP) is pleased to announce our partnership with MCI USA, a leading association management company with six offices around the US and 61 offices globally. As SVP continues to develop how we serve our members, this partnership with MCI USA further expands our capabilities to advance the science of vertebrate paleontology through utilizing MCI’s best-in-class experience and expertise in society management and meetings provision.

SVP decided to break ties with FASEB in 2019 and have secured the services of MCI USA from January 2020. “When we decided to leave FASEB, we immediately were impressed with the capabilities of MCI USA, and we couldn’t be more excited about our decision to partner with them because they’re perfectly positioned to help us reach our strategic goals for the future,” said Emily Rayfield, SVP President. “MCI’s deep knowledge and experience with association conferences, professional development, and member engagement will supplement what FASEB offered, and their expertise with association governance, meetings provision, advocacy, sales and fundraising, operations, and technology will create a better association for our members.”

SVP decided to break ties with FASEB in 2019, and the board of directors has been focused on identifying a new strategic full-service management partner for the last several months. MCI USA was chosen due to their proven experience, global reach, and innovative, individualized approach to helping associations grow.

This new partnership involves staffing updates, including the appointment of Lee Lowery as Interim Transition Director. SVP would like to sincerely thank Serena Weisman, former Executive Director, for her hard work and dedication to the organization. Serena will be continuing on with FASEB, and SVP wishes her well in her future endeavors.

Additionally, Jon Korman will transition with SVP to MCI USA and will continue to serve the SVP community as Manager of Member Engagement.

“We’re excited to partner with the Society of Vertebrate Paleontology to deliver both strategic and tactical solutions in order advance the science of vertebrate paleontology throughout the world,” said Erin Fuller, President, Association Management & Consulting for MCI USA. “MCI USA is recognized for our agility in delivering a comprehensive suite of innovative, growth-centered solutions for associations, and we can’t wait to partner with SVP.”
